PHOTOGRAMMETRY is a technique consisting in modelling reality in 3D from a photographic scan. The advantage of this technique is that it is very fast, visual and very useful.
Once the reality has been digitized and the 3D model obtained, the possibilities are endless...
Here are some examples :
- - Precise orthophoto mapping with an average resolution of 10x better than Google Earth (from 0 to several km2).
- - Topographic surveys for design offices, surveyors and architects.
- - Visual and geo-referencing inspections (facades, roofs, structures...).
- - Calculations of cubatures (e.g. excavated material and backfill from natural terrain and execution plans).
